About Alynn Alexander

Dr. Alynn B. Alexander attended Indiana University where she graduated with high distinction, earning membership into Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to complete her medical training at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Alexander worked in private practice for more than ten years in New Jersey before moving to Richmond to join Richmond Women's Specialists. Dr. Alexander is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her focus is providing comprehensive care in both Obstetrics and Gynecology to women of all ages from adolescence to menopause, with areas of expertise including preventive gynecological care, obstetrics, pre-conception counseling, contraceptive management, STD screening and treatment, evaluation and management of abnormal PAP smears and cervical dysplasia, and evaluation and management of abnormal bleeding and pelvic pain. She has a special interest in chronic vaginal infections and has published original research in this area.

Dr. Alexander is married with three children. Her husband is a University of Richmond graduate and they are excited to now call Virginia their home. In her spare time, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time with family, yoga, and paddle boarding.
