About Jennifer Walker
Jennifer Walker, BSN, MSN, CNM, WHNP, began her nursing career in the army, and then took time off to raise her family. The mother of eight children, she eventually wanted to try something else, and decided to become a midwife. She went back to school and received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Utah Valley University and then attended the University of Utah to obtain her master’s degree in nursing, and complete her training to become a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Since 2012, Jennifer has been a practicing midwife in Richmond, Virginia, and prides herself on her devotion and passion for working with expectant mothers. She is a clear communicator and enjoys having an open dialogue with her patients, understanding their needs and helping them plan their birth experience. Jennifer is a trained facilitator of Centering Pregnancy, a group care model for prenatal care.
Jennifer is also dedicated to women’s health in all stages of life. She takes her time with well woman exams, getting to know her patients, and addressing all aspects of their health. She emphasizes healthy lifestyle as a preventative to potential health problems. Jennifer is excited to bring personalized midwifery care to women at Chippenham Hospital and Virginia Complete Care for Women.
